VITA MIND | is a Producer and Performance artist. aka. Erik Alexander.

He has been rattling-windows and breaking-up dance floors in Canada & the U.S. for over 15 years. His deep, illustrious understanding of entertainment has taken him through nearly-countless endeavors since he was just 12. Born in the notorious city of Toronto and raised in a family of Finnish/English musicians, his roots ensure his commitment to the electronic music community worldwide.

Erik has only until recently committed his mixes to be played by a few select artists, or in his own sets exclusively, and in 2009, he intends to inject this very anticipated brand of vibe into the worlds dance floors.

Voice work and commercials, the promoter and consultant for hundreds of events, graphic designer, actor, host, composer, turntablist, and percussionist - beginning somewhere in the early 90’s, Erik became a full-share member of the canadian dance scene.

Along side epic names such as dj Dominik; and formally-known-as dj HardTrip, Erik effortlessly constructed and initiated a trend-setting empire of early Canadian Hardcore/Rotterdam listeners. Although he has been heard playing every genre of electronic music live, his mixing and turntable skills are a sight to be seen alone.

Combined with his vigilance to proper showmanship, he claims to have even played for aliens during the U.S./Canadian blackout of ‘03. As Erik says; “ With the birth of VITA MIND, so does this inaugurate the beginning of - ‘The Universal Frequency Modulation Axis’ - a project built of many years of scientific endeavor. Music is the only universal language, and I would like to ensure all my listeners that ‘there is an explanation for everything - and you will have it soon’. ”

Constantly learning, changing and evolving, his artistic vision is now set on a world tour to bring his sounds to the people. Wether it’s progressive, pressurized, fidgety, broken, or big and phat, his exceptional understanding of the future of music is staggering. VITA MIND BEGINS.
